Complaint Details
I have a broadband account with Airtel (fixed line number 022-40143010)
On 22 August, I called them about switching to a broadband plan they had mentioned on their website, called "New Turbo 25 plan with Advanced Rental"
The website clearly mentioned that this plan (with an advance payment for 6 months) has NO high speed data transfer limit. I am attaching screenshots of the website which I captured on 17th of August. I have clearly highlighted the place where this is mentioned.
I had email conversations with their contact center on 22,24 and 25 of August, but they kept telling me that the plan was not available, even though it was mentioned on website.
I wwrote to their Customer Representative (ombudsperson@bharti.in), but was told that it was a mistake on their website. They have since changed the pricing on their website.
I feel that this was false advertising on the part of Airtel, and I should be entitled to the service that they had originally promised on their website
