Complaint Details
I'm a consumer of Bharati Airtel Ltd. Post paid mobile number 9900193272.

Due to personal reasons I was unable to pay my mobile bills for 3 months (from April 2013), and also had minimized the usage of service of this number.

In the month of September 2013, on 19th, some of the Airtel employees have accessed my call log details and they called the numbers from the call log details. The representative spoke about my whereabouts to unknown/irrelevant people and also discussed about my bill outstanding with them, they had said "there is an outstanding of Rs.3120 , which is not paid since April, inform him to pay the bill or else we will send legal notice to him."

For information, One representative had visited my home on 4th Sep 2013, I had politely requested him to come back on 22nd to collect the payment.

I visited the Regional office at Banneghatta Road and questioned them as why did they call the numbers from my dialled call logs list. I spent almost 6 hours by talking to various people. Finally they confirmed that a representative named Jyothi had done this, and they apologized for it. But it has already damaged my reputation and dignity among those people drastically. It was very embracesing situation for me when the people who received the calls informed me about the call from Airtel.

Even after me being available on my alternate numbers and also residing at the same address, these calls were made intentionally to create fear in me. I want to log a defamation case against Bharathi Airtel Ltd. I have already escalated this issue to Airtel Nodal officer and to Airtel Appellate officer, there is nothing other than apology response. Pls assist me.
