Complaint Details
Iam a customer of Beam Telecom internet in Hyderabad (Account no 379528). I had bought a wifi router / modem from them for Rs 2000 last year. They said it has
lifetime warranty. So, when the wifi option in the router stopped working last week, i called them up for service.
I lodged a complaint with Beam on 1st October (ticket no 9849262) that the wireless router was not working. An engineer called up the same day and promised to call me
back in 30 minutes. No response after that.
I called up again on 3rd October and reminded. The customer service profusely apologised and promised to fix the issue within the day. No response.
I called again on 4th October and reminded. The customer service again profusely apologised and promised to fix the issue the same day. I told them to fix the issue
on 4th itself as i would be out of my home on the 5th and wont be available if the engineer came home. Again no response.
On 5th October morning i saw a message in my phone saying that the issue (ticket no 9849262) has been closed and that a new one has been issued (ticket no 9892591). I
dont know who gave them the right to close an issue without the customer's prior approval or without the customer being attended to.
In fact the engineer even had the cheek to say that he was unable to contact my router from his end. Of course, because i switched off the router after hours of
keeping it on waiting for the engineer to come to my place and solve the problem. Does Beam Telecom pay my electricity bills that i keep my router on the whole day
waiting for their engineer to grace my place with his presence?
On 5th October, the Beam Telecom engineer (Phone number 8096667356) called up again at 2:30 pm. He asked for directions to my house and promised to be at my place
within 30 minutes. Its 6th October now and more than 18 hours since his promise and the fellow is yet to turn up.
I called up him and he denies ever having promised to come to my place or having talked to me. If so, how does my phone have a log of the call from that engineer?
When i got angry and shouted at him, he asked me to call up customer service and complain and not to talk to him. Do i have nothing else to do than call up Beam every
day and remind them of their responsibilities?
Beam has pathetic engineers with the worst work ethic. Not to mention, they are all bloody liars. I wonder what the management says about this. Or, is the Beam
Telecom management also the same and has an equally lousy work ethic?
I have sent a copy of this mail to the nodal officers and apellate authority of Beam Telecom and yet there is no response. I called up the customer service again on
5th October at 7 pm and demanded that someone be at my home in an hour to sort the issue. Still no response. I want some action taken against the engineer who called
up and promised to come to my place on 5th October (Phone number 8096667356) and now refuses to even own up responsibility.
Can you help highlighting this problem in your program and ensure that Beam Telecom pulls up its socks and cant take its customers for granted anymore.
