This email is to highlight the issues with repudiated claim under LIC Policy number: 271008504. I'm son of policyholder.


LIC Policy number: 271008504

Commencement Date: 09/03/2002

Plan: Endowment Assurance Policy



Below is the status of the Policy -



My father had LIC Policy: 271008504 which got lapsed in March'2007.



In year 2009, Policy was renewed after detailed full body examination and medical tests conducted by LIC Panel doctor.All original medical reports were accepted by LIC representatives. Full payment of premium of previous 2 lapsed year was paid.

After renewal, He continued to pay the premium as normal.



In Jan'2011 - My father expired.

Since then we have followed up several times and have visited Zonal office few times to get the claim.



In Oct'2012 - I received letter from LIC saying that my father concealed PTCA/stent treatment duing lapsed period. When full body tests were conduced and evideneces were accepted - It's unclear why LIC never raised this at time of Policy renewal.



Since then, we have followed up several times and have visited Zonal office few times to get the claim.



In Feb'2013 - We received letter from LIC informing us to collect Rs 39,372 and collected that amount in Sep'2013.



In this entire case - Amount before policy renewal is never paid out. Policy started in 2002 and entire sum assured until renewal is forefeited without proper details.

Can it be investigated and checked.
