Dear Sir,
I did not like to write this letter to you for making my grievances.
But I am deeply pained and disappointed that I have been given such
shoddy treatment from esteemed and awarded company make mytrip.com.
I am working in ONGC in the position of Dy General Manager and an
elite member of make my trip from the very initial days by the name of
my wife Mitali.
From the very start I explained my position that I am moving from
Agartala to Mumbai on transfer during this period and clearly stated
the reasons as I have to search for my accommodation and arrange for
admission of daughter in plus two class there.I hope you will
appreciate how much trauma and difficulties one faces with family as
in large metropolis one feels lost. Precisely in such a circumstance I
desperately kept the hope alive for the beautiful trip of Leh Ladakh
by postponing the dates and agreeing to the extent of paying penalty.
But Swathi Vakada,customer relation officer started acting in a strange manner that the whole
trip is on the point of mishandled and jeopardised except only you can
save me.
After booking for Leh Holidays at the guidance of Smt Swathi Vakada
for last days of trip I was misguided that the last date is in June & given 13th June. Accordingly I paid the
booking amount of Rs 61,000.00. Because of my peculiar situation for
the last one month I have been harping on the date change and I was
given two dates like 11th and 25th July which I understand now that could have been given at the outset. On confirmation of the
financial impact after due deliberation for possible postponement and availability of seats in standard category only I went ahead for next partial payment of Rs One Lakh. All
this while I talked to her and reiterated my starting date as 25th
July as it suited me.
Sir I fervently request you to kindly look into the matter and see
that my hard earned money just does not get frittered away by the
mistake of immature handling of an elite customer. Her charges are I
have not mailed her my confirmation. It is not true Ihave repeatedly confirmed by phone and sms.My common sense says all the
exercise for one month for shifting date was for what? Who will
understand the need of the customer other than the customer relation
officer. Moreover I am running from pillar to post for my priorities
and did not update on mails.
I have nothing against Make my trip and remain always appreciative of
the services rendered so far except this.After Ilodged a complaint ref ID 150610-036677 with the company they responded with Ms Preeti Chakraborty who after one month decided that forfeiture of Rs 1.61 lakhs is valid.My question is why she took such a long time to decide this or just buying time?
I Makemytrip is entrapping gullible consumers in the name of cancellation policy and duping them their hard earned money.I want to get my entire money with interest and damage they have made by metal trauma and loss of opportunity.THeir cancellation policy and unilateral cancellation should be critically reviewed and if required they should be blacklisted for unethical business practices. with regard
