Respected Sir,
I am currently working in Indian Air Force,at Dibrugarh,Asom.I booked a ticket(self+wife+infant) in goindigo.in from dibrugarh to hyderabad and back well in advance at lower price(total amount for my trip is Rs19000).my return from hyderabad to dibrugarh was on 18 Oct 13 by flight 6E353 which was scheduled to leave at 0625hrs from hyderabad airport to kolkata.Due to some transit problem i reach indigo checkin counter at 0528 hrs.A lady at counter told that baggage counter closed and my baggage cant be accepted.A senior to her told that i could board the flight without luggage(i.e.only with hand baggage) and within no time i left my baggage to my dad who is at airport entrance gate and i reached counter .Now the staff at counter(at 0535hrs) told i would not be issued boarding passes because the counter is closed. Though I arrived intime at the counter to collect my boarding pass I was denied seat by the staff at the counter stating that i must be prior to one hour of flight departure(actual as per policy it is 45 minutes).i request at checkin counter that i am 55min before flight departure and i would be kindly issued boarding passes and what ever you are not adhering to your policy.despite of guiding me to board flight, they offered re-accommodation to the next available flight with applicable charges and fare difference i.e.Rs 25000(only upto kolkata) besides not assuring me to catch my connecting indigo flight 6E205 at kolkata( to dibrugarh) and it has become a way to make money for private airlines.On that day i have no option to cancel my journey,i booked single ticket on 20 Oct 13 from hyderabad to dibrugarh costs Rs 15008(still that much amount is not affordable for me) in goindigo.in (Pnr M2RTSC). I came from kurnool district in private vehicle to catch Indigo flight costs me Rs 15000.Due to indigo's way of making money by stating that without compromising on ontime performance,they sell seats at a very high cost on basis of passenger urgency. i leave my wife and infant daughter at my hometown.when i complained regarding the problem to customer.relations@goindigo.in,they simply reply that their staff has no reason to deny issueing boarding passes.
I would request the authorities to intervene in the matter and may check records and help me,Put a penalty on Indigo for this and ask them to pay me compensation for inconvenience and mental harassment.
