I have saving a/c in axis bank in virar west branch .A/c no. 023010100214957. in month on july 2013 i had a payment due of RS. 950.00 for my credit card purchase. on 08/07/2013 i made a transaction through ATM for the credit card payment. 1st transaction was not successful and no payment acknowledgement was received. so i tried one more time and the transaction was successful and payment receipt was received.
when i received the bank statement for saving a/c.for half yearly 2013. i was fined Rs.500.00 along with service charge of Rs.61.80 for not maintaining minimum balance of Rs. 2500.00 in my account.
when i checked the statement, it was mentioned that credit card payment of Rs.950.00 was made 2 times on same day. that means payment was made 2 times for single due. but in fact 1st transaction was failed and 2nd was successful.
this double payment resulted in low balance below minimum balance in saving a/c and my calculation of maintaining of minimum balance went wrong due to ATM machine error and i was fined for the same with service tax 12.36% without my fault.
Axis bank repersentative have agreed to this but denied to repay my money back. i have all the documents with me but i am not able to upload it. please help me to get my money back in my account and tell bank to correct the faulty ATM machine.
