Complaint Details
I bought a gold ring with stone studded on 22nd July in GRT Jewellers, Adyar branch, Chennai via bill 21656.

The bill states below;
Gross weight - 2.790
Net weight - 2.790
Price @2358 per gm - Rs.6578 + Wastage (820.58) = 7399.40
Then they add price for stone Rs.825

My grievance

1. As you notice the gross wt and net wt are same i.e. they are not showing stone weight

2. They charged stone @ gold rate and I dont know how much it really weight and what is the actual gold I am buying

3. Then they AGAIN bill me for stone despite charging me at gold rate in initial calculation

4. When I enquired about re-purchase / selling policy , they said that they will remove stone and will pay only for the weight of gold.

Thus I am over charged and double charged and then incur loss for one single stone in single purchase. Imagine the loads of people purchasing in high quantity and recurrence of this malpractice and malicious profit made by Jeweller.

Please help me in taking approproiate action. I have bill intact with me for your reference
