Complaint Details
On 3rd June 2015, I made a trip to Singapore along with family for a week. Though I wanted to buy a cheap prepaid card from Matrix, the sales guy at the Matrix counter in Mumbai International Airport literally forced me to buy a sim card saying I would be charged only Sing $ 30 ( Around Rs 1700 ) that too 150 minutes of dialling to India would be free within that amount. He took only an advance of Rs 100/-.He repeatedly told me that I would be charged extra only I exceeded 150 minutes of usage.
To my surprise I got a bill on 22/7/15 which said I have to pay Rs 5018.95 though I used only 50 minutes to call India. Please see the trail mail which will give you details. My Singapore Mobile bill allotted to me during that week is below.
Singapore Mobile Number 91731581
This is totally unacceptable and amounts to fraud by Matrix. Please take up with Matrix immediately and get the excess charged refunded immediately. During the application process Matrix had taken my Citibank Credit Card Number and today I got message that Rs 5018.95 is already debited on my card fraudulently. My mails to Nodal Officer and Appellate authority at Matrix met with no resolution of my complaint.
Please treat this as most urgent.
In addition to getting my refund, also please warn the service provider not to publicise their fraud service and cheat unsuspecting customers.
