Dear Sir,
I had booked an eticket, PNR No: 6719362719 on 18th Sep for travelling from Raipur to ERS. Date of Journey: 15-Oct-13, Class: 3AC. However at the time of booking the status was WL16/17/18 for 3 passengers. When the chart got prepared the status was RAC for 1 passenger and balance two passengers were WL1/2
As a result none of the passengers were able to travel as the ticket was not confirmed. Since the ticket was an eticket i applied for TDR and later on received an email from IRCTC stating that the TDR is not admissible as i had prescribed beyond the time limit. When i went through the rules i found that the railways has kept a mere 2 hrs for filing of TDR which by all means and standards is unacceptable. How can this be acceptable when the duty of the government is to offer its citizens service and in this case they are clearly looting hard earned money of the public. I wish to fight this injustice and would like to highlight this issue to the highest levels on behalf of all indians and as a citizen of the country. I wish to highlight that many a times the irctc server is not available so where is the question of filing the TDR and who is responsible in such cases where the TDR filing cannot be done due to such issues. Not only this the TC does not allow Waitlisted Passengers to enter the AC Coach which is again another issue. If railways has collected money in advance for which no interest is paid to the passengers in the event of the ticket not getting confirmed, how come they are able to deduct full amount from passengers. Who will answer these questions and what is the solution? I humbly request you to take up this matter in the interest of the common public and all passengers. I would sincerely appreciate if you can provide feedback to this complaint and address this issue in the larger benefit and interest of the consumer.
