Complaint Details
I had problem with the machine board since I bought the machine in 2008. No free service was provided during the warranty period. Every time I complain they said varied reason and made me to buy different equipment's supplied by them like stand, stabilizer etc. Last time when my son JOHN made a complaint on 28 May 2015 that board is not working and issues with the water drain, person from local IFB service centre named POOVARASU attended and made me to take AMC and said that to complain after 90 days, after which everything will be covered under warranty for a year. (I paid Rs.2135/- on 28 May 2015 for same). After that on July, had sparks coming out the machine and my son made an emergency complaint. Same person from IFB service centre (POOVARASU) came and said 90 days not over yet and to complain after 90 days and left. During that period my wife at the age of 57yrs suffering with arthritis has to wash all the clothes manually. Again my son made a complaint after completion of 90 days which was on 28 August 2015. They took the complaint but were very negligent, didn’t attend to my complaint for 4 days saying there in no stock in store. After 4 days they did come (ETHIRAJ) on 2 Sept 2015 and changed the board and did some cleaning and charged Rs.640/- saying this is not covered under service warranty. The very next day i.e., on 3 Sept 2015, the machine went off again and we called ETHIRAJ again to report same. He attended to it and said due to voltage issues the board gone; though we had a stabilizer we bought from them. He was so abrupt and said that it was not a stabilizer at all. We explained that it was bought from them but he said it is our responsibility to look for the proper one. He also stated that we have to wait for few more days till he gets it changed. I paid Rs.2775/- and waited for more than 3months and still the issue is not fixed yet. At the of 67yrs it is too distressing the way they respond to us.
