Complaint Details
We have an Airtel DTH Connection having Number 3002396211 in my name we had lodged a complaint on 13th October, 2015, after which engineer visited on 14th October, 2015 (who charges rs 150 for the visit) in which he checked the STB box and told us that it is having problems(which by the way we already knew) h told us that I do not have an STB box, if u want on urgent basis you will have to upgrade to HD as HD box is available and you will have to pay more for HD, but we insisted on normal STB which he told will take time, we agreed to install HD since we did not want the engineer to go without doing work. The new STB of HD was also faulty so he told us that he shall get the STB by evening or by next day afternoon, no one turned up, we kept on raising complaints in call center no use daily people call us asking problem is resolved or no, simply irritating consumers by asking questions without cross checking before calling that there was a visit of the engineer or no. All the time they were saying there are n STB’s there is a shortage of STB’s, if Airtel cannot keep STB stocks, it should surrender its license of providing DTH services, also they are adopting unfair trade practice by trying to sell HD STB boxes as normal boxes are not available. Highly unprofessional DTH services, only intending to sell products and not interested in providing customer services.
