Complaint Details
Respected Sir/Madam,
My name is Shashank Singh and i am writing this complaint against an Overseas Education Consultant named as Globule Overseas Consultants Pvt. Ltd, 13/2, 2nd Floor, Ward No. 1, (Near Main Bus Terminal), Mehrauli, New Delhi – 110030. In the year 2007 I was looking for MBA course from Abroad and during my search i came across this consultant and visit him in his office which was in Munirka, Delhi at that time. I was looking for some good colleges but he suggested me to go to Cyprus and also mentioned that part time jobs for 20 Hours a week are allowed there for overseas students. I got me admitted to Americanos College in Nicosia, Cyprus and i reached there in the month of October 2007. The college was on 1st floor of a small building which has few rooms with a small number of faculties. As the scenario was opposite to my expectation and i felt cheated so i contacted the agent in India but he dint responded to my calls. Consultant also lied on Part time job facility as in Cyprus it was not allowed for Students to work part time. I spent almost a month there to get my fees back but the director of admission denied to return my fees and said that according to college rules your fees can not be refunded. I came back to India and met with the consultant and he said that college is not listening to him and he is not getting any response from them. After several months of follow up i took admission in another college in Ghaziabad India and got busy with my education. Recently i came to know that the respective consultant changed his address and still working with the same college of Cyprus. The college changed its name to American College now.
My request is to look in to this matter as in the name of foreign education such consultants and colleges are taking money from Indian students and providing them nothing in return.
Below are the total expenses occurred to me in this overseas education scam:
College fees Paid Euro 3200 Approx exchange rate in 2007 @ 70 INR 224000
Airline Ticket INR 35000
Accommodation for 1 Month INR 25000
Consultation Fees INR 20000
Registration Fees & Medical INR 25000
Total Expenses INR 329000
