ECE Industries Limited (Elevator Division) has installed a Passenger Elevator in C. N. Residency, K.K.Bhatta Road, Chenikuthi, Guwahati-781003, Assam and presently it requires maintenance although the elevator is in working condition. As a result, we approached Mr. S. R. Singh claimed himself as Chief Manager of ECE Industries Limited here in Guwahati and he informed us that there are two options for payments - 1. Onetime Servicing Charge of Rs. 5,000/- in advance plus Spare parts charges extra and 2. Annual Maintenance Contract which will charged Rs. 22,800/- Per Annul period and all Spare parts and accessories are free. Now as we have approached for the 2nd option means Annual Maintance Contract, Mr. S. R. Singh denied complying with the 2nd option and now he is demanding another Rs. 5000/- in advance apart from Annual Maintenance Charge as Inspection Charge and spare parts are chargeable before execution of Annual Maintenance Contract. As he is aware of that the Elevator is made of ECE Industries and we are bound to pay him the amount as he demanded as elevator is very much essential for all of us that here and all residents are family holders and having minor children. So, the matter may kindly be taken as urgent and necessary steps may kindly be taken for harassment to the customers. Mr. S. R. Singh sent us an agreement copy for sign the Annual Maintenance Contract and verbally instructed to pay the total amount in advance means Rs. 22,800/- PLUS Rs. 5,000/- as earliest.
