I bought a Spice handset model Stellar-518 with watch, sunglasses and headphone from homeshop18 vide invoice no NITCDRH/DRH/05/2015/4811836 dated 21/05/2015. The Homeshop18 Order No is 970275501 and suborder no is 105093789 dated 20/05/2015. The handset carries a warranty if 12 months.

Now in 16/11/2015 the touchscreen suddenly stopped responding. I raised a complaint no 511191850 with Spice helpline 1860-200-1003 on phone the same day and I was provided the address of local service centre ASC Banwari Lal and Sons. When I went to submit the set there, they simply refused to take the set saying "we won't repair this because you have purchased it online and not from us and we donot get claims for such sets". I escalated the matter both with Homeshop18 as well as Spice and ultimately after 5 days the local service centre of Spice accepted this handset on 21/05/2015 vide jobsheet SRno 19101797FB0002 and I got the message that the repaired set should be collected after 3 days. When I didnot hear anything till Dec 2, I emailed to both asking about he status my handset. I recd a reply from Spice stating that the handset has been repaired at Advanced Service Centre and will reach the local service centre shortly. On Dec 5 when I went to collect my handset, I was surprised to the see the handset in the same position as before, so I didnot take the handset back. Now Spice says the handset is waterlogged so cannot be repaired in warranty which is not understandable.

This seems to be a deliberate attempt to do the wrongs. Otherwise why would have the Advanced center said that my handset has been repaired. Kindly get my handset repaired or replaced as required and also compensate me for the loss of time and mental agony and harassment meted out to me.

The relevant documents will be produced whenever required.
