I have purchased a Hercules Roadeo A-500 cycle from an authorized dealer; Ankit Sales Agencies, E-52, M.I.G. Colony, Indore; on 13/5/15 ( bill att).
My first free service was due within 90 days of purchase but after purchasing the cycle, within a month I moved on to Bathinda, Punjab. In Bathinda when I asked the authorised dealer; Gupta Cycles, Dhobi Market, Bathinda, Punjab; to carry out the mentioned free service as per my booklet then he straight away refused to do so and told that since the cycle was not purchased from him, the servicing will be charged, when I asked for the bill of the servicing then also he refused to provide the same, leaving me with no option but to approach consumer forum. I tried contacting hercules customer care on the subject but their phone number was not reachable and all the e-mails which I sent were not delivered, reflecting poor consumer service provided by the company.
It is requested that the company should be approached to resolve this issue of post purchase service and should direct its dealers and vendors to adhere to their guidelines and policies and should not exploit the consumers.
