Complaint Details
I had purchased a battery for my Nokia E5 mobile phone via eBay on 30/07/2015. The item was listed as "GENUINE BATTERY BL-4D BL4D For NOKIA E5 E7 E8 N97 MINI 702T E7 N8-00 #291520348855" on eBay (product page+order confirmation attached). When I received it, I found that it was not retaining charge. I reported this to the seller (above), who suggested a few steps. Since those steps did not result in any improvement in performance, he offered to either replace the battery or refund the price. I chose the latter and returned the item via courier, and it was received at the address given by him on 08/09/2015 (DTDC tracking report attached). In spite of repeated emails and phone calls, the seller has failed to issue a refund. Although it was covered by eBay guarantee, they have also refused to help.
I request a refund of price Rs 555.00 + courier charge of Rs 80 (scan of DTDC shipping slip attached) + Cost of phone calls, compensation for mental agony, etc. Rs 5,000.00 = Rs 5,635.00.
