I HAD EARLIER BOOKED A TICKET ON 23RD NOV 2015 WITH MAKEMYTRIP FOR A TRIP TO GOA IN THE MONTH OF DEC2015. THE BOOKING ID WAS NF220205677816. HOWEVER ON A VERY NEXT DAY I.E.24TH NOV 2015 I GOT IT RESCHEDULED FOR THE MONTH OF JAN 2016 WITH THE AIRLINES. THE BOOKING REF NO# RE5R6X. THE FARE DIFFERENCE WAS TO THE EXTENT OF RS 8000/-. AIRLINE HAD ASKED ME TO GET IN TOUCH WITH MY TRAVEL AGENT IN THIS CASE MAKEMYTRIP FOR REFUND. ON 16TH DEC (TENTATIVE DATE) I HAD CONTACTED MAKEMYTRIP FOR REFUND. THEY ASKED ME TO PROCESS CANCELLATION OF THE MAKEMYTRIP BOOKING ID#NF220205677816 THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE. I DID IT ON THE VERY SAME DAY. ON28TH DEC 2015 I RECEIVED A VERY LARGE CREDIT INTO MY ACCOUNT. I WAS SURPRISED AND THOUGHT OF CHECKING MY INDIGO REF NO#RE5R6X ON THEIR SITE AND FOUND TO MY SURPRISE THE RESCHEDULED TICKET WAS CANCELLED WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE BY DEDUCTING RS18000/- AS PENALTY. I HAD CALLED THEM IMMEDIATELY ON 28TH DEC FOR THIS CANCELLATION AND THEY PROMISED TO REVERT ME IN 3 WORKING DAYS MAX. SINCE I HAD TO GO I HAVE BOOKED A FRESH TICKET ON THE VERY SAME DAY WITH NEW BOOKING ID NF7203458486507 FOR THE SAME AIRLINE AND FOR THE SAME DATE AND TIME. NOW MAKEMY TRIP IS SAYING I HAD ASKED THEM TO CANCEL THE TICKET. AM I A FOOL TO CANCEL TICKET AND BOOK A FRESH TICKET FOR THE SAME AIRLINE BY INCURRING A LOSS OF RS18000/-. I NEED YOUR SUPPORT IN GETTING JUSTICE.
