Here comes a very interesting story of Makemytrip (MMT),
I had made a booking for a Rotana property in Dubai, a star grade. Paid the total amount & got the confirmation voucher from MMT.
Later when I landed in the hotel, they denied such booking and I had to literally wait in the reception for 4-5 hours calling and coordinating with the useless MMT call center employees. I have been given to understand from Rotana, that MMT books through third party agencies and such things happen very frequently and they regretted for the inconvenience although they are not responsible for this goof-up but MMT.
Concern-1: Absolutely irresponsible attitude by MMT. Many long phone calls, emails reminders absolutely with no response and we customers need to call hundred times and wait in que for long hours in international call to make these idiotic MMT team attend to us with no solution though.
Concern-2: No customer service or customer care. Absolutely lethargic approach by MMT. No care for the client once the payment is received, you are at their mercy.
Concern-3: After all these drama, with Rotana management supports, I could manage things and after the check-out, I have approached MMT for the invoice for the payment made. Almost 12 phone calls, 8 reminder emails with ridiculous response from MMT saying that they cannot give invoice for the amount paid. Shockingly they quote it is MMT policy. But they can only give an invoice for a totally different value which is 1.5 times higher than the amount I paid, which may be the listed price / rack rate of the rooms. Highly unprofessional & unethical. Is the concerned administrative department aware of this looting. I’m stuck on my reimbursement from my company, since my travel was official and these MMT team is not providing the invoice for the amount I actually paid.
Be aware guys. I have used services of goibobo and they are extremely friendly, easily approachable and more than all completely ethical and professionals. Pl do not use services of MMT (MakeMyTrip). It’s a cheating group and they irritate and harass people (with pathetic service & coordination) after the payment is made. Afterall, it’s our hard earned time & money, why to struggle with such unprofessionals. BEWARE of MakeMyTrip and pl avoid.
