Hi,
This is to bring it to your notice that a Eco Inverter AC that was purchased on 28/02/2015 has gone faulty with no cooling. A complaint on the Sharp Customer care was registered on 17/09/2015 at 06.00 P.M and the Complaint ID is 864452. Sharp Customer care assured that the Issue would be taken care and an engineer would be appointed and within 24 Hrs to visit the site and get the issue resolved.
After a follow-up with the local Service Head the Engineer visited the site on 19/09/2015 at 03.00 P.M and said that it's a case of Refrigerant leak and needs a whole ton of approvals to resolve the same and has still not taken any actions of identifying the cause, I do agree that Electronics do fail and it would take time, but to my understanding talking to a few people who represent Sharp, came to know that it would take a week or two to get the issue resolved as it requires approvals from HQ which is totally unacceptable. In this age of Internet and social media shining throughout all the four corners of the world, it is very hard for me to accept that such latency is evident. Imagine a family without AC for one week? Do you guys understand that Sharp Eco Inverter costs more than the average Joe AC's of the same leage manufactured by Samsumg, Panasonic or even Toshiba? Having said that, the level of service offered by competetiors is league ahead.In continuation with the below trailing mail, the unit has failed again the only difference this time being the indoor unit. The indoor unit fan refused to power on irrespective of the functions accessed on the remote. A complaint was logged in for the same today morning and complaint Id is 169724. An engineer was promptly assured and the complaint was attended and was found that the fan motor had gone faulty and needs replacement.
What I fail to understand is this..How is that the unit gives out continuous issues no matter what in a frequency of 4 months being this the second time consequently. Either the product supplied is of sub standard quality nor the products sold are not upto the mark and tested for Indian conditions.
With sincere regrets, I would never recommend SHARP again to anyone in near future as I literally feel that my 60000 rupees have gone down the drain. As this is a serious concern about the product quality and fradulent the way it's been sold to me, I would validate my ways to file a petition in the Court of Law under "Consumer Protection Act" as I find myself to be cheated for selling me a low quality product.
