Complaint Details
I had placed an order for Moto G Turbo (White) on amazon india vide order no 404-8403087-2297951 on dt 27/03/2016 at a discounted price of 4999/- in the name of Sh. Jai Narayan Kapoor.
The discount was provided with the help of a promotional code which was successfully accepted on amazon india website and a discount of 7500/- was provided.
I paid the amount of 4999/- with my debit card and the order was successfully placed and a confirmation mail was received on my email id k.gbvjhajhu@gmail.com
But on 28/03/2016 my order was cancelled without my prior consent and i received a mail stating that my money will be refunded to my bank account.
When i contacted amazon india's customer care through online chat medium, their representative told me that the order was processed at a discounted price due to some technical glitch in their system and is cancelled. He told me that the promotion code wasn't provided by amazon and hence can't be honored by them.
The product was successful delivered at same discounted price to some person who opted for one day delivery as seen on social media(Facebook).
Such type of partial behavior among customers is unacceptable.
The promotional code was accepted on amazon india's website, it clearly means that the code was from their database otherwise it couldn't be applied.
Amazon India offered me a deal and I accepted the deal by paying in advance and now they are denying to honor the deal which is clearly a breach of Indian Contract Act, 1872.
I want the product at the same price at which the order was placed and accepted by amazon india. In addition of that i want compensation for mental harassment faced.
