I got NSC certificates on April 2009 worth Rs30000. After maturity period when it was not withdrawn the amount the policy was not renewed automatically on the 7th year.When i go and enquired about it they told, only on renewal only it will be active otherwise it is a dead money and there was no communication from Postoffice that the amount is matured.Nearly 10 months there was no value for the money. Why policy is such that these schems can be automatically renewed and if needed for the customer they can break it?????
