As per the Make My Trip ad in the link below,

it shows 0% cancellation fees and 100% refund on hotel cancellations. However, when we recently wanted to cancel hotel bookings (Ocean Suite Luxury hotel, Goa). When we contacted Make My Trip Customer Service, we were informed that they would not be refunding us even a single penny. They contacted hotel and they informed that they will not refund any amount, it is 0% refund.

Due to an emergency we want to cancel the booking. But they say that it is there policy that they cannot refund and it is 100% chargeable. We called Make my trip on 16th of May, however our traveling date is
5th of June.

I asked them to at least charge some cancellation fee and then refund a partial amount. But they said that they will not refund any amount for hotel booking.

I have paid 11,500 for this package trip for both and due to an emergency, we are unable to travel. I was said they will refund only 2000 back for flight ticket.

I will be charged around 9000 just for booking it and not traveling at all.

Note: Before booking there is no notification telling that hotel booking has 100% non refundable, only if we book hotel then they forward us a policy document stating hotel booking is 100% non refundable, which is contradicting to the ad.

We see the ad and then book, confirming that it is refundable, however what is the point of sending us document stating 100% non refundable after booking. We will not be in a situation to cancel after booking it. This is an act of mis-guiding consumer`s. They are fooling us.

When we contact customer service team they say that it is their policy that they do not refund any amount for hotel booking. If they are doing this, then why should they say in the ad that "zero cancellation fee and 100% refund". They are cheating consumers, by providing this fake ad.

I request you to kindly look into this, I do not want other`s to get into our situation.
