******This was my First Email to Jet Airways Baggage Missing Dept. on 30th of June, 2016.*****



To Whomsoever it may concern:

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Kaushik Prasad, currently a resident of Pune, who had travelled from Pune to Chennai on account of My sister's Brain Surgery.

I had taken the Jet Airways Flight No: 9W-2492 at 15:45 hours. While I really loved the services provided by your Ground crew at Pune and the Air Hostesses in the flight, I was shocked to see that my baggage was missing in the Chennai Airport.

Shocked to see this, I contacted your Jet Airways Personnel in the Airport, who first mocked at me when I explained him how important my baggage is for me, as I had a surgery scheduled for my sister, the very next morning. This drove me mad mad and I shouted at your personnel, as I was being mocked at. He confirmed it with Pune Ground crew that my bag had not reached Chennai yet. He told me he will get by 10:30 AM in the morning. I asked him to give it to me writing that I will receive it in the morning by the time he had committed. He had done that for me, he had written it on the Jet Airways Lost baggage form and given it to me.

When I asked him for compensation, he escalated this to his higher official and requested him to meet me. While I expected a better quality of service from him, he was pretty rude and said that he is accepting that it is their mistake and we cannot do anything now rather than waiting. I again explained my trouble to him and asked him for some sort of compensation. He said he will contact his head office and get back to me. It has been 48 hours and no body has got back to me regarding this.

Further, on 29th of June in the morning, I have contact Jet Airways helpline and asked them for the status. They have informed me that my bag didn't leave the airport yet. Furious at this, I asked them when they will deliver. I was told it will be delivered within 2 hours (Max). I waited for 2 hours and contacted Jet Airways again. I was informed that it had left the airport, however, it didn't reach me. When I asked them to connect a call to the ground staff in Chennai, he told me that he's not "Authorized" to do so.

I was again asked to wait. I waited for another hour. This time when I called and requested him for the same thing, he agreed to provide the local vendor's number.

When I asked him to connect a call, he put me on hold for close to 5 minutes and informed me that vendor's number is busy. I asked him to escalate this, he put me on hold again for more than 7 minutes and I was connected to a supervisor. This guy was again trying to pacify me, but in no gain.

I finally received my baggage around 2:14 PM, and was delivered unsafely on a 2 wheeler. I inquired the person why it was late, he informed me that he just recd. the baggage. I let it go and took picture of the slip and got my bag to the room. When I opened the bag, I was shocked to see my Perfume bottle broken, perfume spilt all over my clothes and clothes damaged.

Post this I sent several follow up Emails to Jet Airways regarding this, however, in No gain. I received a call on the 1st Of july offering a compensation of INR 1000/- which I denied. That gentleman said he would get back to me on this, however, he never got back to me.

Request the authorities to take appropriate action and make sure I receive justice.
