Hello - I am planning to start a small business of leather products with a limited budget. In the process of starting my business, I wanted to get a brand logo registered. Hence, I posted a requirement online. Looking at my requirement Ankit from Xee Design reached out to me with a proposal to create a Logo for my brand. After initial discussion on Jun 14th, I made a partial payment of INR 6500 to Xee Design for which they were supposed to design a Logo. Ankit verbally promised that the amount would be refunded in case we did not like the work. After the payment, I haven't not received any receipt of this payment and this firm kept delaying my project. I was running short of time to get my logo registered despite of frequent request, the firm kept delaying my work. After few days, three designs were presented to me which was completely not what I had asked for. Hence, I asked them to work on it again. After few more days, Aishwarya(Designer) submitted few more designs which again was not upto the mark, hence I called them up to explain what exactly I was looking for. During the discussion, the designer turned rude to me and was not open to my ideas. Hence, i disconnected the call and reached out to Ankit(Marketing Executive) to complain. Ankit in turn told me that he will get back to me and never did. Ankit stopped recieving my calls and responding to my messages. Looking at this, I hired another designer to create my logo and got the work done within a day. I kept calling Ankit and sending him messages through Whatsapp for which he hardly responded. And finally when I called him on 6th July, he asked me to get in touch with his Director Nithin Raj to get a solution. I spoke to Nithin Raj on 6th July who said that they cannot do the refund since there was nothing in written or in a mail, however, he promised to get back to me the next day(7th July) after checking with Ankit. After waiting for his call the entire day, i sent him messages on 7th July in the night for which there was no response at all.



And I called Nithin on 8th July in the morning to check why he never got back to me and also to get a solution of my issue. Nithin again promised that he will get back to me by evening which he did not. I again called him in the evening, now Nithin informed me that he will call me on 9th July. On 9th July I got a call from Nithin and he stated that his Designer who has turned into a Project Manager will write me an email and I have to respond back to her. I am attaching all the email conversation that we had so far. And when I asked him what would be the next action after my response to that email, then he asks to respond first and then promises me to let me know the action that will be taken. And he is very clear that there wont be any refund even after i Write an email to him.



My issue here is, Xee Designs has taken INR 6500 to design a Logo and gave me designs which I did not like and when I tried to help them they turned offensive and rude. Logo is not a tangible item. They have to work according to the client's requirements and not present just anything they want. They were not open to my ideas and kept forcing and being stiff about their work. Due to my self respect, I wouldn't want to be treated in such a manner after paying in advance for the service that they were supposed to provide. They are treating me as if I am asking things for free of cost. Along with the amount involved, the firm never valued my time and I kept reminding about these during my calls, in my messages and mails. Despite of this, there was no effort from their side to expedite my project or even let me know the tentative time of project completion. They kept promising me of call backs and never kept that promise.



As a consumer, I have not recieved any end product from this firm. My last resort here is now to file a consumer complaint. Hence, I kindly request CFBP to get involved in this matter and help me in getting my money back.
