Complaint Details
Travelled from AMS to BLR via AUH and DEL. Baggage not found in DEL, registered a complaint. Nobody from the airline bothered to update me via call or mail about the status of my luggage. Two bags. Was delivered to me after three days, had to keep calling the airline and wait an hour on the line to get a minor update. Shocked to realize some cash was missing and both my bags were tampered with and everything inside was a mess. The bag was locked in AMS, but when I got it, the lock was off. Most of my souvenirs were broken/damaged, in spite of being gift and bubble wrapped.
Approx. USD300 and INR6000 was missing. I don't usually keep money in my checked-in baggage but this was an exception ass the money I had was for sentimental reasons, which my grandparents had given me just before I left to AMS for my masters. The money was hidden between the two sides of my baggage warranty card in a zip lock bag along with my Indian ATM card. The zip lock was wide open when I got the baggage, found my ATM after a bit of searching, but the money was never to be found. All this, after the discomfort caused by Jet Airways due to their handling of the luggage. WORST travel experience ever!!! Tweeted and wrote to Jet Airways, but they seem busy making money rather than taking care of customers complaints.
Is this what one can expect from India's leading airline? No Jet Airways for life!
